About
Anna Catherine M

Plans, not products.

I'm a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® with five years in goal-based financial planning — retirement, tax efficiency, contingency planning and risk management.

Most people come to me holding a few policies, a handful of funds and no clear view of whether any of it adds up to the life they're working toward. My job is to give them that view — what you own, what it costs, what it's for, and what happens next — and then a written plan that gets revisited as things change.

I handle onboarding end to end: risk profiling, goal mapping, portfolio construction, and the periodic reviews that keep a portfolio matched to the plan rather than to last year's returns.

The aim is to make planning simple enough to trust and clear enough to act on, with every decision tied to what actually matters in a client's life.

Alongside the CFP certification I hold an MBA in Financial Management from NMIMS, the QPFP designation from Network FP, and NISM Investment Adviser certifications at Levels 1 and 2.

Practice

Areas I work across.

Comprehensive planning

One written plan covering income, spending, goals and the gap between them, with the trade-offs made explicit rather than buried.

Goal-based investing

Every rupee assigned a job and a date. Goals set the time horizon; the time horizon sets the risk.

Asset allocation

Funds chosen against a client's goals and their tolerance for a bad year — not against last year's returns.

Portfolio reviews

Periodic reviews that check the portfolio still matches the plan, and correct the drift when it doesn't.

Retirement planning

Working out the number to aim for, the path toward it, and how income is drawn once the salary stops.

Insurance & risk management

What's actually covered, what's paid for twice, and what would happen to a family in the worst case.

Writing

Notes on planning.

I publish a carousel most weeks breaking down one piece of personal finance — the kind of thing that gets explained badly, or not at all, to the people it affects most.

It's general education rather than advice, and the clearest picture of how I think about money.
